Bourton Parish Boundary Walk

Get your walking boots on!

This year’s boundary walk is on Sunday 6 May.  Starting from the pin at the centre of the village you’ll get the chance to walk the entire parish boundary – about nine or ten miles in total – and the weather forecast is looking good!

The walk is mainly over usually unaccessible farmland – thanks to the permission from the landowners – so good walking shoes are recommended but unfortunately dogs are not allowed.  This is a fantastic opportunity to see the village and its surroundings from a totally different perspective.

We’ll be meeting at the pin at 8:45 am for a 9:00 start.  Refreshments will be provided half-way round and at the end there’s a full meal provided free at the village hall with a paid bar.

There’s also a raffle, so donations of prizes would be greatly appreciated – as would some help with teas, coffees and clearing up at the end.  The walk, refreshments and meal are all arranged by Julie and Stuart Anger and paid for from the bar and raffle and any surplus is held for next year’s walk.

Note that we’ll be taking photos of the walk some of which will be posted on the village website.
