St James’s Church

Remembrance Sunday & November services

Due to the lockdown starting on Thursday 5th November, we will not be holding any services at St James during the month of November unless guidance changes. Our next service will be our family service on Saturday 5th December at 10am.

Unfortunately the government guidance also means a change to our normal Remembrance Sunday event. This year we are unable to hold a public event, as social distancing measures may prove hard to adhere to. However, we will still still be holding a short service of remembrance at the memorial in the village at 12pm this Sunday to lay our wreath and remember the fallen. This will be led by Rev’d Fergusson, and our church wardens Amanda and Sarah will be in attendance. We will endeavour to record this service and share it with you all.

We’ll let you know soon about our plans for Christmas services, and how we plan to keep the Christmas spirit alive in Bourton despite the current restrictions.
