Services are recommencing next week
We would love to see you at our first service back at St James since Lockdown on Sunday 19th July at 10am. This will be a holy communion service. We will be back with our previous pattern of services after that :
Family service At 10am on first Saturday of the month
Family Communion At 10am on third Sunday of the monthRest assured the church will have been thoroughly cleaned, but with no one having been in it since March we are confident that it will be a safe environment. Our Benefice Worship leaders will visit only one church on any given day, to avoid the possibility of spreading the virus and we will also lock the church for 72 hours before and after each service to remove risk of contamination.
We will need to adhere to social distancing guidelines and other measures during the service, so unfortunately this means that there will be no singing or hymns. We have marked out where members of the congregation can sit safely, and there will be hand sanitizer available on entry and exit.
We can’t offer tea and coffee, but of course you will be welcome to stay after the service to catch up with each other outside in a safe way outside. You may even want to bring your own drink! As we have been closed for a few months we have seen a dramatic reduction in our church income so we would gratefully ask if you would consider your collection contribution in light of this. If you’d like to consider regular giving via direct debit then please do let us know and we can give you the details. We’ll also be asking if you may want to become a ‘friend’ of Bourton Church and handing out details. We are looking forward to welcoming you back and worshipping with you.Sarah & Amanda(Churchwardens)
