Christmas at St James’s

We have a lot going on at St James’s in December to celebrate the festive season. First, we are lucky enough to have two concerts to raise money for our church renovation:

Thursday 5th December at 7pm – Pinewood is holding a school Christmas concert featuring its chapel choir, parent & teacher choral society along with festive readings. The village is warmly welcome to attend.

Friday 12th December is our traditional village concert led by our very own Sue Hayes. You can enjoy a glass of mulled wine, join in with Christmas carols, as well as enjoy performances by the flute choir, soloists and a guest choir.

We also have four services in December to which you are all welcome :

Saturday 7th December at 10am – family service

Sunday 15th December at 10am – family communion service

Tuesday 24th December at 6pm – Christmas Communion with our living crib – please encourage children to dress up as nativity characters.

Sunday 29th December at 10.30am -St James’s is hosting the Benefice service when we welcome the congregations of the other six churches in our Benefice. All are welcome.

Remembrance Day

Service of remembrance – Sunday 10 November

Please meet at the monument in the village on Sunday at 12pm for our short Service of Remembrance to remember the fallen and place our wreath. You are of course also welcome to place your own wreaths / symbols of remembrance alongside this.

Thank you
