St James’s Church

Crib Service 3:00pm on Christmas Eve

A reminder that our Christmas Crib service will be at St James Church at 3pm on Christmas Eve. The service will be outside, weather permitting. If it rains, we will hold the service inside, and ask those attending to wear masks. Please do also consider taking a lateral flow test before you attend.

There will be a retiring collection in aid of the church restoration fund. Contactless payment options are available.

Children are welcome to wear nativity / Christmas fancy dress if they would like to.

Thank you

Sarah & Amanda (church wardens)

St James’s Church

Christmas Eve Crib Service now at 3:00pm

Dear all,

Due to the increasing threat of the Omicron variant of covid-19 we have taken the decision to once again hold our traditional Christmas Eve Crib service outside in the churchyard rather than inside the church. It will be a simple crib service rather than the planned communion service.

We will have the service at 3pm round the crib at the entrance to the church. This year we will be able to sing carols unlike last year which will be lovely. You are welcome to wear a mask if it makes you feel more comfortable, but at this stage it will not be mandatory.

Of course if the weather is against us, we will move the service inside, but in that case we will be asking everyone to wear a mask.

Thanks for your understanding and we look forward to seeing you there.

Sarah & Amanda (church wardens)

Christmas blessings from all at Café Inspire.

Faringdon Singers’ Christmas Concert
The concert scheduled for tomorrow evening (Saturday 11th December) at Shrivenham Methodist church has been cancelled.
